The Islanders are now 0-1 in Thursday night action on the season and by the way things looked lets hope their are no more Thursday night games in store. The Islanders came out flat gave up a goal in the first minute took costly penalties and allowed a very fast and talented Casselman Vikings skate to an easy 8-1 victory. The bright spots on the night for the Islanders was a strong effort put in by affiliated player Brett Arrowsmith who sniped Gan's loan goal top corner off a slick feed from Beau Conley. Brad Green had a good effort, facing 53 shots as he stopped a solid 45. The Islanders can gain ground with two wins this weekend and gain ground on locking in their playoff spot this weekend as they go to Charlan Saturday and host Morrisburg on Sunday.
